Thor's hammer pendant from REPTON - Ivar the Boneless mjolnir - Solid 14k gold
Solid 14k gold Thor's hammer
Reproduction of a found from Repton
The hammer is simple, understated and made with attention to detail
Dimensions: 25 mm x 18 mm
The wage of this hammer is 4,5g of gold
I was hallmarked by the Polish Assay Office
The original Thor's hammer, a perfect miniature hammer without any decoration made of plain silver was excavated from the neck of a warrior buried in Grave 511 at Repton, Derbys (Biddle and Klolbye-Biddle 2001, fig. 4.14,1)
The owner of the original hammer was buried together with 248 other Great Heathen Army warriors in a mass grave at Repton Church.
The Repton Viking Warrior was 6 foot tall, aged 35-40 and killed in battle. He is said to be Ivar The Boneless
The things he was buried for his afterlife, the analysed set of battle wounds and the specific way he was put in the grave should confirm that.
It's great to see his facial reconstruction at Derby Museum!
This pendant is plain on both sides and can be engraved with a personal rune. Please consult the Custom Rune Carving Section below.
