Set of Silver Viking clasps for leg wraps - reproduction of a grave find from Birka
Viking silver hook tags set
Made on the basis of grave find from Birka. Grave 905 contained a male skeleton and various metal artefacts. Among these were two bronze hooks shaped as animal heads, found in a position just below the man's knees. They have been interpreted by Inga Hagg in her article in 'Birka II:2' as 'hooks that attached woolen leg wrappings to linen knee-breeches'.

Width: 21 mm
Please allow small imperfections as they are the proof that each item is handmade and finished by me with the use of traditional methods.
