Gleipnir - Viking Byzantine Chainmaille Bracelet
Gleipnir, is the chain that at last managed to bind the mighty Fenrir, Loki’s son.
Made by the Drwarves from such things as the sound of a cat’s footfall, the beard of a woman, the roots of mountains, the sinew of the bear, the breath of fish and the spittle of birds. The dwarves took those things, and since then, they have been missing from this world.
The chian was so light and flexible, that Fenrir thought it would be a joke to break it with ease, as he did many times before with other, more hefty chains.
However, Gleipnir being imbued with Dwarven magic, would not budge. And the wolf was thus bound until Ragnarok.
We have managed to source a tiny piece of Gleipnir, and so, our very chunky-yet-lightweight bracelet came to be.
Made of 100% Sterling silver, but light as air, Gleipnir is the perfect everyday Viking inspired accessory for Warriors and Shieldmaidens alike. The bracelet features intertwined chainmail style silver rings, and comes complete with a silver clasp.
If you need to measure your wrist for the first time in a while it's best to use a piece of string and see exactly how loose the bracelet should be. I would recommend adding 1-2 cm to your wrist size or more, if desired.
